Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.VersionControlException: The server returned content type , which is not supported.

Hi I am migrating a bunch of Team Projects, one project in particular runs through approximately 600 changesets and the errors out with the following exception:

TfsMigrationWindowsServiceHost.exe Information: 0 : Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.VersionControlException: The server returned content type , which is not supported.

Fixed the problem by clearing the server side cache:

1. Stop IIS.
2. rd /s /q "%Program Files%\Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server\Web Services\VersionControl\Data"
3. Start IIS.
